About Me

 

I am not a professionally trained chef, yet my passion for cooking, mixed with the creative process of inventing healthy, nutritious meals, keeps me returning to the kitchen time and again. And although I did not learn to cook very well until I was in my mid 20's, it has taken hold of me with a vengeance.

I am a self-taught culinary enthusiast who views the kitchen as my artistic studio.Therefore, I spend countless hours perfecting recipes that are yummy to eat, as well as nutritionally sound.  My main focus is to create dishes which utilize a wide variety of healthy ingredients including freshly grown, seasonal foodstuffs. I also focus on recipes which provide alternatives to utilizing meat, dairy and highly processed grains--all of which are known to cause a variety of health related issues.....

While there is so much to learn about the culinary process itself, I spend lots of time researching the nutritional and healing properties of foods, and base many new cooking ideas upon scientific research.  I have also developed a passion for the artistic side of photographing food, and my camera has found a home right alongside my spatula and sharp knives.

So, truth be told, I am happy to spend my life "Living, Loving Food."
